Deadman Finale Changes
Read about the changes that are coming to the Deadman Winter 2016 Finale!

With just over a week to go until the explosive 2016 Winter Deadman Invitational Final Hour, we'll be making some changes to the structure of the final hour.

Additionally, the Invitational Week is planned to begin at 12pm GMT on Monday 12th December

The events of the final hour will be streamed live from the RuneScape Twitch channel on Saturday December 17th. Do not miss out on the action - be sure to watch the mayhem unfold!

Rule Changes

Players will be notified of the location of the final area with the pre-fog warning. Players in P2P areas will be given a teletab which can teleport them to a random spot in the F2P zone, and they will have 5 minutes to use this before fog is released in the P2P areas.

5 minutes after this, fog will begin to shrink (at a faster rate than previous tournaments) into the F2P zone. It will push players towards the final area.

15 mins into the shrinking, the pre-final warning comes up, this has a 10 minute countdown timer warning players that if they don’t enter the final area (through the magical barrier) they will be eliminated by the fog. At this point a magical barrier appears blocking off the final area entrance. Players can leave/enter as they wish during the pre-final phase.

10 minutes later (approximately once the on-screen timers expire) the final area will be the only place where you can still survive without fog killing you in one hit. At this point entry into the final area is one-way, and players will be unable to exit by any means, including teleports.

Players then get 20 minutes to fight in the final area where there will be no fog until a single winner remains. Should a draw occur where multiple people have survived, most kills will win, this stat will be displayed on screen.

Please note that if the Finale reaches the final phase stated in this blog - when the game concludes, anybody outside of this final area will be disqualified. We also reserve the right to disqualify those found to be acting in a manner we deem exploitative to survive.
