Game Jam was the name of the game last week, Jmods have been cooking up a bunch of different projects and we want to share some sneak peeks at them with you all!
It's back! Game Jam is a reoccurring event where the J-Mods take one whole week to explore personal projects, community suggestions, and other exciting ideas. We've seen loads of awesome projects on the go this week, so here's a preview of just a few of them...
Mod Blkwitch is levelling up their Archaeology by digging into the depths of RuneScape's environments and unearthing some ancient reworks!
How ancient, you ask? Well, back in 2012 some dungeon reworks were made for a few areas that sorely needed it - Varrock Sewers, the Edgeville Dungeon, and the Pollnivneach Slayer Dungeon.
Of course, these reworks are now a bit outdated compared to our current graphics, but they're a step in the right direction, and they add some much-needed colour and life to these old areas. As if that wasn't enough, she's also started the next part of the Overworld refresh, with an eye towards a Kandarin and Ardougne update!

Wanting to add some more customization to the Completionist Cape, Mod Ramen has been toiling away in order to allow people to select their own particle colours!

Mod Shogun has been on a roll, working on a wide variety of QoL updates such as :
Please Note: While this changes may seem ready to introduce into the game there is still some quality assurance that needs to be done before they can be brought in live.
Here is a bundle of Gifs to showcase some of the above, click into them for a clearer picture!
Check out his Twitter for some extra insights!
With assistance from the lore community Mod Stu has been identifying where quests have some redundant requirements and getting rid of them! The aim is to look at simplifying the complex web of quest requirements where possible so it's less daunting. Along the way, he has also done a little QoL to some quests while they're under the knife, such as graphically updating Azzanadra in Desert Treasure, or moving the Archaeology collection prompt on the Goblin Village generals into their dialogue tree to clean things up!

It seems like Mod Sponge can't quite get Necromancy off his mind and so if cooking up something sparkly, very particular choice of colour.

Continuing his dark descent into the underbelly of Daemonheim in such of historical treasures, Mod Chaose has brought along Mod Frosch to future look into some of the mysteries of the dungeon.
Not to let Shogun have all the fun, Mod Dorn has also set their sights on improving the quality of life, particularly around clues. Removing the delay from all Challenge scrolls, speeding up the NPCs handing out Easy clue scrolls faster and a variety of text typos and errors!

With the main objective to make auras and their tiers more visually readable Mod Breezy has created these crisp icons to help know your auras at a glance.

Budding necromancers shouldn't have all the fun and so Mod Dragon has been looking to add some extra flair to the starting armour of different combat styles. This is very early days but are very fashionable!
The iconic goblin could use a little love and so Mod's Damo and Wov have given them a bit of a polish, look at that little smile!
Like the Champion's Guild but for when you are just finding your feet! The team was trying out some early game questing with the intent to help players get started.
Skeletal Trex. Not much more to be said honestly. Mods Camel, Abe & Fowl have been cooking up a 4th Rex Matriarch for inclusion with Necromancy!
With Necromancy on the horizon, Mod Alex gave the Necromancer's Tower a well deserved glow up.

And that's just the tip of the iceberg!, various other projects are also underway.
Please note that everything shown is subject to internal reviews, scheduling and testing processes. While these projects may appear complete in places, all Game Jam projects take a significant amount of additional work to implement - not all Game Jam projects shown may make it into the game and we can't offer a timeline or guarantees of Game Jam content releases. Keep an eye out for updates in our weekly news post.
