Just seven days to go until Necromancy - get your teeth into a brand new gameplay trailer later today!
We're so very, nearly, almost there! Necromancy rises next Monday, August 7th at 12:00 Game Time (13:00 BST / 07:00 EST / 04:00 PST). With the launch just one game update away (seven days to go), we will be dropping a brand new gameplay trailer later today!
We're continuing to improve design and utility on the Jagex Account - now you can reorder your character list to streamline the login process!
Head over to your account page and try out different orders now! If you haven't switched over to a Jagex account yet (to take advantage of the new longer logout timer) you can find instructions on how to do so here.
We've had so much great feedback from our recent Understanding RuneScape Survey - thanks to all of you who took the time to fill it in! The final sprint before the launch of Necromancy!
If you're preparing for Necromancy, here's some optional levels to chase that can support your journey in Necromancy - though none are required in order to play the skill.
DXP LIVE is a 10-day event where you have 48 Hours of Double XP to use at your leisure. You can pause the timer if you need to do other activities but don't want to lose out on that precious DXP time. If you won't be using all your hours, you can trade an hour of DXP per day for credits to use with Nic The Trader. More about how it works here!
Double XP LIVE kicks off this Friday, July 28th until Monday, August 7th, starting and ending at 12:00 PM Game Time.
PSA: Currently players can trade one hour a day of DXP time with Nic for credits, which can then be spent on items. Previously these credits unintentionally carried over between DXP periods, but this will no longer be the case - so be sure to spend all your credits before the end of the event!
Not long now - soon we'll all be summoning skeletons and blasting necromantic energies about the place! Our latest Insights blog is all about how you will decimate your foes using your newfound Necromancy powers. Dive in to find out a little bit more ahead of August 7th.

Starts July 27th | Ends August 2nd | Foresight to Train
DXP is in full swing so it's a good Time to Train! New to this run is the Protean Prolonger, which let you double the maximum make-x value for your Proteans for a limited time, and the Star Redirector which lets you exchange up to 50k BXP from one skill and send it to to another skill at a rate of 5:4 (e.g. 50k BXP in skill A becomes 40k BXP in skill B).
Starts August 3rd | Ends August 7th | GemfallGemfall returns! Open chests with those marvellous multipliers, while keeping an eye out for Gemfalls filled with extra prizes.
With Necromancy just around the corner, our team has been focused on polishing the launch experience ahead of August 7th. This has taken priority over general week-to-week work, so there are no Patch Notes this week.
