Runecrafting Training Guide
Levels 1-14
1. Do the Abyss Mini-Quest to get to level 9 very quickly. (Gives opportunity to get pouches that help carry extra essence)
2. Now, run any type of runes until you hit 14. I suggest airs or earths.
Levels 14-44
You will be running strictly fire runes. To do this quickly and efficiently, use rings of dueling to teleport from the duel arena to castle wars for quick banking. Remember, at level 25 runecrafting you have the ability to use a medium pouch.
*If you can and already have the requirements, I highly recommend doing:
(1)"The Eyes of Glouphrie" quest, and at level 35 runecrafting, the (2)"What Lies Below" quest. (1) Offers a 6,000-xp reward and (2) offers an 8,000-xp reward.
Doing these quests will make running fire runes shorter due to the 14,000 combined xp they give. * (This is optional, not required)
Levels 44-59
Now this gets fun. You will now be crafting nature runes using the abyss! The abyss is full of monsters that have a magic based hit. It would be best wearing weight-reducing gear with say a d'hide piece of armor. The lower your defence is, the more damage you will be taking. When making trips to the abyss, I suggest taking a mithril pickaxe so
you can mine rocks that appear to enter the runecrafting rift. There are different ways you can also enter, but I just use the mining rocks way. Once you have entered the rift and made your trip to the altar, its time to bank and redo the entire process. An abundance amount of glory's is an advantage. This method is very good for people with
stamina potions and high agility. They will waste less, if any, time walking. Remember, at level 50 runecrafting you can use the large pouch.
Levels 59-82
From here, looking at the price of runes is very important. You can either continue running nature runes OR you can start to craft cosmic runes. At level 59, you will receive 2 cosmic runes per essence! After looking at the trade prices for each rune type, it would be in your best interest to run whichever one will tally more profit. Remember, at level 75 you can use the giant pouch.
Levels 82-91
From level 82, you will now get 2 astral runes per essence. Same thing applies when running these; make sure you check the trade prices to maximize your profit. For this method, the quest Lunar Diplomacy must be completed to access the isle to make the runecrafting runs.
Levels 91-99
Now this is it; you’re on the home stretch. You will now be getting 2 nature runes for each essence you craft. This is by far the best money you will make with this skill. It’s highly recommended to do this method all the way to 99. You will use the abyss like usual, which will make it very efficient per each run.
*You could do lava runes for thebest xp per hour, but this guide was meant to be a slow efficient way to level runecrafting while making a ton of money. *
