As we close in on 1 million listens overall, we have one last episode of the Official OSRS Podcast for you to enjoy! While this person needs no introduction, this banger of a final episode sees us sit down with the one and only Mod Ash for a proper deep dive into how a RuneScape obsession in 2001 turned into joining Jagex in 2004, and eventually becoming the walking archive of Gielinor history we all know and love. If you're interested in hearing Ash's early Jagex stories from when the whole studio could fit in one room, how he thinks about keeping new content feeling like Old School, a look behind some of the most infamous moments in RuneScape history, and a reminder that yes, he has also written quests and music you have probably had stuck in your head for years, then make sure to give this one a listen!
What to expect in this episode:
This episode was recorded on September 5th, 2025 and it was the first episode of the season we recorded. There were a few hiccups along the way to it being published which is why it's been so long since it was recorded vs you getting to listen to it only just now, and why it runs shorter than the others, but rest assured: we learnt a lot and we'll apply that to the next time we have Mod Ash back on the pod!
What's Next?
That wraps up Season 1 of The Official OSRS Podcast and the response has been unreal! Seriously, thank you for sticking it on while you skill, quest, commute, or try not to get stacked out in the Wilderness. We will be back soon with more news on what to expect from the future of The Official OSRS Podcast. We are definitely not looking to stop here.
We've really tried to make something that you can enjoy listening to whether you're playing OSRS, on the commute, school run, or wherever else. We do need your help, however. Please give them a watch and a listen and tell us what you think. We intend to use the feedback we gather from the first season to shape what the future of the podcast could look like. Check out The Official OSRS Podcast on the below platforms and follow/subscribe/turn notifications on etc. Discoverability has gotten much worse in a world increasingly led by algorithms, and the more support we get from you in these early stages the better the chances of our podcast reaching interested eyes and ears.
