What are the Golden Gnomes?
For those of you new to the Golden Gnomes, these are the shiniest of GGs, commemorated with a physical trophy - a literal golden gnome! The awards cover all sorts of artistic endeavors, from dedicated content creators to stand-out community members. It's the opportunity to truly celebrate all the incredible content, artwork and acts of kindness that comes out of our community.
It all culminates in a huge celebration, which will be presented live from RuneFest on ! Can't make it? Don't worry, it'll be streamed on Twitch so you can cheer on these creative greats without having to get out of your pyjamas.
Here's where you come in. All categories (bar a couple, which we will get on to), are nominated and voted for by you, the community! There are two stages to this, first up are nominations, which is where we are right now. So, peruse the category lists across all three games, and send us your top picks!
Just like last year, we have a couple of categories lined up that are not nominated and voted for by the wider community. We're bringing back the Community Champion award for OSRS, RuneScape and Dragonwilds, chosen by Jagex, and the Creator's Choice award for OSRS and RuneScape which will be chosen by Creators.
The second stage is a public vote on the finalists for each category. Once your votes are in, we'll tally them up and get ready to award the shiniest of trophies at RuneFest.
How does it work?

After this we will collect the top nominations in each category and present them for a public vote. This will go live and be open until .
Then, after various checks have taken place to ensure a fair process, winners will be announced during RuneFest on .
What's new?
We're doing things a little differently this year. To be able to fully celebrate a wide reaching variety across the communities of all three of our games, we'll be varying where and when we announce each award. While we will still have our big on-stage celebration, live at RuneFest on , some awards will be announced during other parts of the show, like Campfires. This is so we can give each winner their own moment, and carry the celebrations throughout the event! All winners of all categories will be shared in a celebratory blog post following the event, too, and all winners will receive the coveted Golden Gnome trophy!
Cosplay!
We are also bringing back the Best Cosplay Creation award, which will be judged live at RuneFest. This does mean that only those who don their Cosplay and attend the live Cosplay parade are eligible for this award.
When it comes to your costume, the worlds of Old School, RuneScape and Dragonwilds are your oyster! Your cosplay can be inspired by any Jagex game, or even a mash up of all three if you fancy it!
Do note that any weapon-shaped props must be checked by NEC security, and if it is sharp and considered a risk it will be confiscated.
