We’re excited to announce we’ll once again be partnering with Brendan (Creative Director, Melvor Idle) to support his next adventure – Melvor Idle 2: A RuneScape Adventure!

Melvor Idle 2 is an idle RPG that expands upon the beloved foundations of its predecessor, bring a deeper, richer, and more refined idle gaming experience. This single-player adventure lets you explore an ever-growing world of skills, combat, and strategy at your own pace.

Whether you're a veteran of idle games, a fan of the original Melvor or a maxed out RuneScape completionist, Melvor Idle 2 offers a fresh adventure that balances depth with accessibility. It's the ultimate idle RPG for both busy adventurers and those ready to immerse themselves in a constantly evolving world.

A RuneScape Adventure

As a long time RuneScape player, Brendan understands the soul of what makes a RuneScape game; player-first, skilling to 99 (maybe even 120...), compelling quests, dungeons to dive into, and a world worth living in. Melvor Idle takes a lot of inspiration from RuneScape and you can just feel it.

It’s also very RuneScape to have someone from the community create something special, and for us to put our support behind it to make it even bigger. Think of this as the game development version of Deadman Allstars Live!

When we reflected on the original Melvor Idle, there was so much of that ‘Scapey spirit in there! And more than that, Brendan delivered a top quality idle game with Overwhemingly Positive reviews on Steam, and one that was also finding a real audience among the RuneScape crowd.

So, Melvor Idle 2 will get a franchise-first subtitle: A RuneScape Adventure. While Melvor Idle 2 doesn’t take place in Gielinor, we think a fan-built Idle Game inspired by our MMOs is more than worthy of the title.

It ensures Brendan can protect the world he’s built, and the lore Melvor players have come to love, while putting a flag in the ground: if you love RuneScape, you’ll love this too.
