Loyalty Point Changes | 50% off through April

Hi everyone,

We're making some changes to the Loyalty Programme to simplify the pricing and revitalize the rewards. For some time now we've felt that the programme could be improved and from your feedback we know you want a broader range of content to use up your Loyalty Points.

How will we do this?

From 3rd May 2016 we will separate the pricing for RuneCoins and Loyalty Points. This means that items in the store will only be available for either RuneCoins or Loyalty Points (not both).

There will also be a range of items that previously cost RuneCoins that will now use Loyalty Points instead. Some other items (like Bank Boosters) will be RuneCoins only.

We will continue to support the Loyalty Programme with new and unique rewards throughout the year and in future.

Why are we doing this?

Our original plan with the Loyalty Programme was to reward players who maintain continuous membership with great rewards. The current system encourages the use of Loyalty Points as a replacement for RuneCoins and we feel this is unnecessary since the introduction of Bonds. Bonds are (and always should be) the best alternative for obtaining RuneCoins by allowing you to exchange your in-game gold.

We understand that some of you might be saving up Loyalty Points for certain items so we're going to reduce the Loyalty Point price of all the affected items (see the list above) by 50% for the whole of April. We're also giving everyone a new 50 slot Members' Bank Booster which you can claim in the store or in-game, via the Bank interface. You'll also get 6 free Keepsake Keys, which you'll receive automatically if you log into the game before the 3rd May 2016. Finally, all Premier Club members will receive 400 free RuneCoins to spend in the store.

If you have unspent Loyalty Points on your account, be sure to take advantage of the 50% reduction before the revised pricing comes into effect on 3rd May 2016. In the meantime, we welcome your feedback, so please post your comments and suggestions in the discussion forum.
