Synopsis

Prince Ali has been captured by Lady Keli and is being held in a jail east of Draynor Village. Help stage a rescue using disguises, a forged key, and a drunken guard.

Requirements

Able to get past or defeat level 26 jail guards. No other requirements.

Items needed

Soft clay, 3 balls of wool, yellow dye (or 2 onions + 5 coins), redberries, ashes, bucket/jug of water, pot of flour, bronze bar, pink skirt, 3 beers, rope, and 30-40 coins for the toll gate if needed.

Recommended

Combat level 10+, teleports to Al Kharid, Draynor Village, and a furnace (Edgeville or Lumbridge). Food if fighting guards.

Walkthrough

Travel to the palace in Al Kharid and speak to Hassan. He will direct you to Spymaster Osman.

Find Osman just outside the northern wall of the palace and talk to him about the kidnapped prince.

Head east of Draynor Village and speak to Leela (south of the wheat field) to learn the rescue plan.

Talk to Ned in his house west of Leela. Ask him to make a wig using your 3 balls of wool. Buy a rope from him if you need one.

Go to Aggie (west of Ned) and ask her to make some paste using your redberries, ashes, flour and water. Also get yellow dye from her if you didn't bring any (costs 2 onions + 5 coins).

Use the yellow dye on the wig to turn it blonde.
Enter the abandoned jail directly east of Draynor Village. Avoid or deal with the aggressive level 26 jail guards.
Inside the jail, talk to Lady Keli. Use the correct dialogue to make a key print of her key using soft clay.
Take the key print and your bronze bar to any furnace and smelt them together to create a bronze key.
Return to Leela and speak to her again.
Talk to Joe the guard and give him all 3 beers to get him drunk and distracted.

Use the rope on Lady Keli, use the bronze key on the cell door, then talk to Prince Ali and give him the yellow wig and pink skirt so he can escape in disguise.

Return to Hassan in the Al Kharid palace to finish the quest and claim your reward.

The Escape Plan

Important: You must follow Lady Keli's dialogue exactly to get a key print with soft clay. The wig must be dyed yellow before Leela will tell you to distract the guard.

Key Print: Talk to Lady Keli with these options: "Heard of you? You're famous!", "What is your latest plan?", "How do you know someone won't try to free him?", "Could I see the key?", then "Could I touch the key for a moment?".

Bronze Key: Use the key print + bronze bar on any furnace to create the key for the cell door.

Distract Joe: Give the guard 3 regular beers until he is too drunk to notice the escape.

Final Escape: Tie up Lady Keli with rope, unlock the cell with the bronze key, and give Prince Ali the yellow wig + pink skirt so he can walk out disguised.

Tips

If Leela won't tell you to distract the guard, double-check that you dyed the wig yellow.
Jail guards are aggressive but will ignore you if your combat level is 53 or higher.
You can avoid fighting by simply running past the guards or using the members' window shortcut after the quest.
Make sure you have all items before heading to the jail to avoid multiple trips.
The bronze key is made by using the soft clay key print together with a bronze bar at any furnace.
After the quest, members can talk to Osman again to unlock the Sorceress's Garden teleport.
