Walkthrough

  1. Speak to Tomas Lawry outside the Port Piscarilius bank. He is investigating strange happenings in Port Piscarilius on behalf of the Kourend Council. A new gang called the Saviours of Kourend has formed and is absorbing other gangs. Their leader is known as the Queen of Thieves. Agree to help him infiltrate the gang.

  1. Speak to one of the poor-looking men or women in Port Piscarilius (one can be found in the house directly south of the bridge). Ask them about the Saviours of Kourend's location. They will say they don't know, but mention a man named Robert O'Reilly who has been working with them. He can be found in the building directly west of the bridge, in the room to the right of Kenelme.

  1. Go to Robert O'Reilly's house (directly west of the bridge). Speak to him and he will ask for a stew in exchange for revealing the gang's location.

  1. If you do not have a stew: Buy a piece of meat and a raw potato from Kenelme's Wares in the house directly to the west. Buy a bowl from the general store. Fill the bowl with water from the sink in Robert's house. Use the potato on the bowl of water. Cook the piece of meat and add it to the bowl. Cook the stew on the range in Robert's house.
  2. Once you have the stew, give it to Robert O'Reilly. He will tell you that the Saviours of Kourend are located in The Warrens. The entrance is a manhole a short walk to the east, marked by the icon on the minimap.
  3. Climb down the manhole into The Warrens. Go a little bit south and then head west over the two small bridges (they may not appear on the minimap or in Low Detail mode) to reach the large island.

  1. Speak to Devan Rutter on the large island. You will ask to join the gang. He will say you must first kill Conrad King, a senior member of the rival gang called the Vipers, to prove your loyalty.

  1. Go back past the two bridges, then head up where you climbed down the manhole. Walk a bit east until you see Conrad King on the dock on the southern side of the Piscarilius mess hall.
  2. Speak to Conrad King. You will have the option to kill him 'brutally' or 'softly'. Choosing 'softly' results in humorous dialogue explaining that it is impossible, and you will end up killing him 'brutally' anyway.

  1. After killing Conrad King, return to Devan Rutter on the large island in The Warrens.
  2. Enter the tent north of Devan Rutter and speak to the Queen of Thieves. You will attempt to arrest her, but she reveals the truth about the gang. Before the Saviours of Kourend arrived, Kourend was full of violent gangs who stole and killed. The Saviours pick specific targets, removing people of power and giving it back to those who keep the kingdom alive.
  1. She reveals that she is actually Lady Shauna Piscarilius, the leader of Piscarilius, and that "Queen of Thieves" is just an alias she uses to strike fear into the rich and corrupt.
  2. You will doubt her claims. She then tells you about the current leadership situation in Kourend and the corruption within the Kourend Council.
  3. To prove she is telling the truth, she asks you to search Councillor Hughes' home, as they believe Councillor Hughes has ties with the Disciples of Yama.
  4. Travel to Kingstown and head east to the houses of the Council members. Councillor Hughes' house is immediately north of the area (south of the icon on the map). Search the chest to find a letter that proves Shauna's claims about the corruption.

  1. Return to Tomas Lawry outside the Port Piscarilius bank and give him the letter. After reading it, he decides that Councillor Hughes' ties with the Disciples of Yama are more important than the Queen of Thieves and plans to report it to the Council immediately. If you ask him for a reward, he will say the best reward is the satisfaction of a job well done and tell you to go away as he has more work to do.
  2. Return to Lady Shauna Piscarilius (the Queen of Thieves) in the tent north of Devan Rutter in The Warrens. She will tell you that Councillor Hughes has been arrested and admit that you are not totally useless after all. She says her arrest is only the beginning and there is still much work to be done. She may call on your help again in the future. She will then give you your rewards and the quest will complete.

Obtaining the Stew

Important: Robert O'Reilly will ask for a stew to reveal the gang's location. You can buy one or make it yourself during the quest (requires 25 Cooking).

Ingredients: Buy a piece of meat and a raw potato from Kenelme's Wares (house directly west of the bridge). Buy a bowl from the general store.
Preparation: Fill the bowl with water from the sink in Robert O'Reilly's house. Use the potato on the bowl of water. Cook the piece of meat and add it to the bowl. Cook the stew on the range in Robert's house.
Note: If you already have a stew when speaking to Robert, both of you will comment on how suspiciously convenient it is.

Killing Conrad King

Important: You must kill Conrad King to prove your loyalty to the gang. He is located on the dock south of the Piscarilius mess hall.

Location: After speaking to Devan Rutter, go back past the two bridges, head up from the manhole, then walk east to the dock on the southern side of the Piscarilius mess hall.
Options: You can choose to kill him 'brutally' or 'softly'. Choosing 'softly' results in humorous dialogue stating it is impossible, forcing you to kill him 'brutally' anyway.

Searching Councillor Hughes' House

Important: Councillor Hughes is not home, so you can pick the lock and search without issue. The evidence is upstairs in a chest.

Location: Travel to Kingstown and head east to the Council members' houses. Councillor Hughes' house is immediately north (south of the icon on the map).
How to search: Pick the lock on the door, go upstairs, and search the chest to find the letter proving her ties with the Disciples of Yama.

Completing the Quest

  1. After giving the letter to Tomas Lawry, return to Lady Shauna Piscarilius (the Queen of Thieves) in the tent north of Devan Rutter in The Warrens.
  2. Speak to her to receive your rewards and complete the quest.

Rewards

  • 1 Quest Point

Tips

  • If you already have a stew when talking to Robert O'Reilly, both of you will comment on how convenient it is.

  • The letter you find proves Councillor Hughes has ties with the Disciples of Yama, which becomes more important to Tomas Lawry than the Queen of Thieves.
