This does not currently affect the Avatars launch date later in May. We're still looking to get the Avatar beta live as soon as possible this week, so do keep an eye out for it!

Improving the player avatar has been a long-standing request from the community, and later this month we’ll be taking the first step toward that. Ahead of the launch of Part One of the Player Avatar project, we’ll be running a beta so you can try out the current progress and share your feedback.

Double XP is back after its long hiatus and kicked off last Friday! In classic fashion, this is a 10-day event where you have 48 hours of Double XP to use at your leisure. The event will end May 10th. You can also pause the timer if you'd like to do other activities that aren't focused on the XP gains.

This is the first DXP event since last November and RuneScape has changed in some pretty meaningful ways since then so we wanted to give a quick round-up to help you get started. Before we recap those, here are the most important things to note about this Double XP event, which has been shaped by your feedback and our Road to Restoration goals:

• Less daily pressure: Daily login incentives removed to reduce FOMO and align with the move away from Dailyscape.
• Final use of Tokens: Tokens can still be earned, but this is their last event. Any remaining Tokens will be converted to GP at the end.
• DXP Store winding down: The store returns with a reduced stock before closing permanently at the end of the event. Skilling Outfits remain available in the store during this event, with plans to make them easier to earn in-game in future.

Fresh out of the dye vat we have some beautiful new looks for both the Elite Dracolich Armour and the Roar of Awakening/Ode of Deceit weapons! Add a splash of colour to your combat encounters with these dyeable pieces!

Hotfixed

• Fixed an issue that caused some outfit pieces from the Loyalty Point Bundle to not unlock correctly upon claim.

General

• Resolved an issue where using revolution with a 1 tile range weapon would sometimes cause you to chase the target longer than expected. No longer should you be having a polite standoff with an opponent as they walk around!
• Resolved an issue that caused NPC's that used adrenaline to not correctly consume their adrenaline on enhanced ability casts, and in some cases caused them to use ultimate abilities they should not have access to.
• Chaos Demons can no longer clear the entangle skill.
• This does not affect Telos, as the boss uses freedom to intentionally break binds.
• Fixed an issue that caused windows to display incorrectly in the Um smithing area.
• Resolved an issue with Kalphite King being able to proc immortality multiple times, making the 'Best Offence' achievement difficult to complete.
• Readded the ability to move the in game clock as its own interface element. The options to keep it either part of the minimap or hidden entirely both still remain. Time to find the perfect spot in your UI!
• The hole in the wall during the Rat Catchers is visible again.
